I am still not over the fact that Tanglin is over !! Its been almost a week since they last aired Tanglin, a local Singapore drama series which I had been religiously following for the past 3 and a half years.
However I loved the way it ended though. A coffee house, TCH (Tanglin Coffee House) which was dear to the neighbourhood ended with a series of memorable events. It started off with Shruthi’s and Eddie’s engagement, followed by Tanya giving birth to her baby, and then Salmah buying over TCH for Leena and Leena in business with Jun Kai and history repeats, Rahmans and the Lims were back into business again. Loved the way Arjun nearly bumped into Diana’s van in the final episode, when in the earlier episodes, it was Jun Kai who had the similar encounter. It just brought back the memories how Diana and Jun Kai first met each other.
Tanglin was a show which covers almost every aspects of a Singaporean’s life! Be it family, friends, colleagues, romance/love , current affairs, health conditions, mental health, pregnancy, festive, school days, college days, cons, scandals, so on and so forth. This show pretty much reminds us of some older classics such as “Growing Up”, “Light Years”, “Under One Roof, etc.
I loved the way the series was narrated. When it was Hari Raya here, it was Hari Raya in the show as well. When it was PSLE here, it was PSLE in that show as well. Hence we were able to relate to the show.
Tanglin was a show I always looked forward to everyday when I went back home.
One of the most touching moment after Tanglin ended was the very “last episode” where Ms P hosts the “Special Episode”, one of the ardent Tanglin fan shared, the period when she was diagnosed with Cancer was the period where Arjun was diagnosed with cancer as well in the show. She felt that Arjun was a mirror to her as she was going through the same symptoms he went through in that show. Touching in deed. 😭😭
Tanglin – I miss you many many 😥😥😭 Maybe I’ll just toggle and rewatch it again 🤔🙈
